Juntos a la distancia

If you listened to Fealdad, you'll recognize Gabriela Wiener in this episode!  Recently, RA has been working on current events (aka coronavirus) through their new podcast, el hilo.  This LAST episode of the season is interesting, since it sheds PERSONAL light on a family quarantined in Spain and then, of course, contracting the virus.  What did you think?

Leonela quiere ser tu amiga

Definitely not an episode that I would use with my students, but amazing all the same.

Disparos al cielo

I always love "recent past" stories.  What did you think of this one?

Words to Get Rid Of (Talkin L2 with BVP)

Susan mentioned the word foreign among words that we should get rid of in the world of Language learning and reiterated that " BVP also notes that millions of people in the US speak two languages at home, so there is nothing “foreign” about the 2nd language they already speak at home." Did that part resonate with you as well? What else stood out to you?

Interrumpimos este programa

I don't know why I always seem to love the newer stories than others, this one from 2018.  Not to mention that it's about the unrest in Nicaragua during that period.  Being that we had planned to go to Nicaragua in 2019, and our trip had to be relocated, I had looked into this unrest a TON in 2018, and had a really hard time finding anything profound.  And here it is.  What did YOU think about this episode?

El mago

This episode was interesting!  I didn't love it at first but it gets good when you start to hear the family dynamic, about life as an inmigrante and what people must do to survive.  What did you think?

S1E3 Is it possible that explicit teaching and practice are useful?

Did BVP's answer differ from what you THOUGHT the answer to the question would be? What stood out?  I felt like I knew what the answer would be, so the most salient to me in this episode were the callers and the discussion that ensued. How about you?
