Words to Get Rid Of (Talkin L2 with BVP)
Susan mentioned the word foreign among words that we should get rid of in the world of Language learning and reiterated that " BVP also notes that millions of people in the US speak two languages at home, so there is nothing “foreign” about the 2nd language they already speak at home." Did that part resonate with you as well? What else stood out to you?
Holly: Oh my gosh, the Venezuelan situation is so horrible. I cant even imagine the intestinal fortitude that it takes to move countries let alone dealing with countries that do not want you to be there. It is a great first hand account of a person who wants a better life and is willing to put up with some heavy emotional, physical, and financial hardships.
